Father's Day gifts for the patriarch with a pampered palate

What could you could you offer to your serious foodie Dad this Father’s Day? Perhaps it would be a cab ride for him and Nigella Lawson on the B.Q.E. during rush hour. Or an all-expense paid trip to Bunol, Spain for La Tomatina, an annual tomato fight that happens this year on August 31 with a week’s worth of hard partying leading up to the event. If those plans don’t work out, we have a few other suggestions.

Start by assessing Dad’s current barbecue situation — perhaps he is in need of new utensils (tongs, spatulas, brushes, etc.) Look for an All-Clad Stainless Steel Barbecue set (at Macy’s for $119.99) or Premium Stainless Steel Barbecue Tool Set with a wooden case ($89.99 at Target.) Although for someone who gets incredibly stoked over kitchen flames, those tools might be along the level of getting Dad a bowling ball. So, think outside the walk-in box.
